He began his professional career when he was 17-year old for French club AS Monaco.

When he was at AS Monaco he played as a winger, even though he helped his club to claim Ligue 1 championship in 1996-1997, he was struggled with fear because he had a bad season in Serie A as a winger role at Juventus football club in 1999.

In 2000 Arsene Wenger, manager of Arsenal F.C. decided to buy this flopped winger from Juventus with approximately 16.10 million euros, and the journey to become an Arsenal’s legend had begun.

Arsene Wenger somehow saw his talent as a striker, not a winger, so he decided to change his position from a winger to striker, and because of that in 2001-2006 he won a Premier League titles and three FA Cup, in addition he also won an individual prize such as Premier League Golden Boot Awards and FIFA World Player of the Year. The most peak time of him was in 2003-2004, Thierry Henry with his squad won Premier League title without any single beaten in the league (26 wins, 12 draws, 0 losses) and then his squad extended the record to 49 games unbeaten, in their 50th games they got beaten by Manchester United at Old Trafford in October 2004 with a result 2-0, but with 49 games unbeaten, they broke the Nottingham Forest’s record (42 games unbeaten) and still stands as the most games unbeaten record til present, so they were the second team that everyone called “The Invincibles” after completing their league unbeaten, the first team that earned “The Invincibles” is Preston North End team of 1880s with 18 wins and 4 draws.

In 2006 he also brought France to the World Cup finals but lost to Italy in penalty shootout. When he returned to Arsenal’s squad he suffered from injuries in 2006-2007 season, and then he shocked and made Arsenal’s fans drowned in tears in 2007 when he decided to end his career at Arsenal F.C. and joined the great Spanish club FC Barcelona, so he ended his career at Arsenal F.C. with all time 226 goals record since 2000-2007. He still had a great career with FC Barcelona by winning 6 titles in 2008-2009. He retired from his national team after 2010 World Cup, with 51 goals over his 123 appearances on his national team matches. In July 2010 he transferred to Major League Soccer team, New York Red Bulls. In his career at New York Red Bulls, he helped his team to get to the MLS Eastern Conference title in 2010. In 2012 he light up Arsenal’s fans hope by coming back by loaning and scored many important goal, but Wenger didn’t buy him back, and there was a drama back there at that time because their fans want him back and retired at this club. So he returned to New York Red Bulls and continue his career til 2015 and then he shocked the world of football again by announcing his retirement on December 16th 2014 and he decided to work as a guru at Sky Sports.
